Dissension Among California Opponents of Same-Sex Marriage

re's trouble in paradise or at least among the religious right groups fighting for an amendment to California's state constitution that would limit marriage to man-woman couples. ProtectMarriage.com is asking the California Supreme Court to bar a rival anti-gay group, the Campaign for California Families, from intervening in their challenge to a gay lawsuit seeking to have the amendment, Proposition 8, thrown off the ballot.

In the past, the Campaign for California Families has opposed amendments like this one because it bans same-sex marriage but not domestic partner rights. Andrew Pugno, an attorney for ProtectMarriage.com, called the campaign "extremists" who would "strip away gay rights" of any nature.  Dissension Among California Opponents of Same-Sex Marriage
